O'fish'l Surfboard Fins Featured In Tommy Moore Design

Here are some photos of O'fish'l team rider and go-to guy, Eric Simons. Recently he took a trip back to the east coast to visit his family, friends, and beaches. Upon arrival he was greeted with a small south swell which lit up the Mid-Atlantic beaches as well as the OBX of North Carolina.

The board he was pictured sliding on in these photos was shaped by former WRV shaper, Tommy Moore. Tommy Moore has been living in San Clemente, CA, for about four years now and is continuing to fine tune his already extraordinary shaping skills and board designs. This particular board was a 5'6" x 18 3/4" x 2 1/4" hybrid with the O'fish'l TC carbon fin template. This board, as seen in the photo, takes a bit of the fish/rocket nose and shortboard tail to make what I like to call a "hybrid", easy to paddle and catch waves, but performs like your favorite shortboard!

If you would like T.Moore to build a board for YOU, send him an email, tmooreshapes@gmail.com

O'fish'l Surfboard Fins Satisfied Customer

Just ONE of the many satisfied O'fish'l customers!!!!

"Hey, Mark. I just wanted to drop you a line to say that I am impressed with your fin systems. I was giving Ted Kearns, my shaper and friend, some feedback on a new board he shaped for me last week. We began talking about the Ofishl set ups I was playing with on my new board and a high performance longboard he shaped for me some time ago. He said I should shoot you an email to tell how much I like them.

I've had several different 2 + 1 set-ups for my longboards, but have only used the Ofishl sidebites. I'm going to have to try some of your center fins soon. I'm on my second shortboard with Ofishls. Ted sent me a few fins to play with, and I found the magic set-up for the fish he shaped me. I really like the flex, the light weight of the fin as well as the box, and the price is affordable. I especially like the ease of which fins can be changed out. With such a light box and fin, it seems I'm able to huck the tail out with great ease and float across sections while maintaining speed. The result is more functional maneuvers due to keeping up that speed. I've got to attribute it to the fin system and box, as I've ridden similar shapes with Futures, Red-X and FCS systems and haven't had the same experience.
I just wanted to let you know I'm sold on Ofishls and look forward to using them on all my boards from now on. You have a solid, functional product without all the fluff that other companies seem to push and waste time on. Ofishl has everything I need.

Aloha,
Peyton"

Like I said, this is only one of our many customers who thoroughly love and enjoy the ease of use, as well as performance. Maybe YOU should be next!!!!!

O'fish'l's Christian Wach Noseriding Freak Show

If you have never heard of, or seen Christian Wach surf, you better get on it! This kid is absolutely amazing and can make riding a piece of kelp look easy! Christian has been a life long rider for O'fish'l, so it only seemed appropriate for him to ask Mark Stavron, owner of O'fish'l, to make him some custom noserider fins for the GSI Noosa Surf Festival in Australia. Here is the story.......

In comes Christian with these crazy off the wall templates, and Mark immediately lays them on the fiberglass panel he had laid up and begins tracing. Mark cuts them out, and these two start going to town with ideas on how Christian is going to be riding them, and how he wants them to feel. Then Mark, starts going on talking about foil points and his prior knowledge of surfing and fin design. These two finally concur on a design and go for it.The end result are these two ginormous fins that only Christian would think up, and that Mark could pull off.

Christian was so stoked with these fins and could not wait to ride them, but against his will, he didn't want to take the chance of ruining them before he got to OZ. Once he made it there, he gave them a try and loved them both. He used one of them in the noseriding division of the GSI Noosa Surf Festival, which he got first, no big deal. He logged 127.31 seconds of noseriding time on two waves, this was 42.31 seconds more than the second place contestant! This was not the first time he has won this event either, he won the previous two years as well!

Christian also did well in the Longboard Division, coming in third place to O'fish'l team rider Taylor Jensen, who brought home the bacon with a first place finish! Hats off to these guys and showing what they can do given the proper equipment matched for their talent and capabilities.

O'fish'l SUP Handle Carrying Product

Having trouble getting your Stand Up Paddle board around? Whether it's getting your SUP to the car, getting it from the car to the water, or most important from the water/surf to the beach. O'fish'l Products has you covered once again with an amazingly simple product, the SUP Handle.

The SUP Handle from O'fish'l Products is like no other SUP carrying device on the market today. It's design allows for the strap to remain connected to the board at all times. This means you never have to worry about wrapping tangled straps around your board, or leaving your carrying device on the beach while you surf. When in the water the nylon handle suctions to the board, lies flat, and out of the way. Therefore, the O'fish'l SUP Handle will never trip you up or get in the way while enjoying your paddle time. New or used, the O'fish'l SUP Handle can be put on any board.

The O'fish'l Sup Handle has changed the lives of many SUP riders because you are able to comfortably carry your board over the rockiest terrain with balance and confidence as well as minimizing fatigue. It's hard to believe that a product this good can be purchased for $20! To purchase your O'fish'l SUP Handle visit, www.ofishl.com

O'fish'l Surfboard Super Leash Plug

Most surfers look at a surfboard and see the obvious, nose, tail, outline, color, and fins or boxes. On the other hand, there are a select few who actually appreciate the work and detail that goes into making these performance water crafts. Such as, concave and how seamless they are blended, rocker, and even the glass job. The one thing that almost everyone will overlook would be the leash plug!

Lucky for me I notice things like that because O'fish'l makes the best leash plug on the market, the "Super Plug". The Super Plug is a 100% sealed leash plug that can be glassed over. Having a plug that is under the glass is a no-brainer. Your board will never take on water around the plug, no filler ring, and it is simply stronger. For the board manufacturers who use resin tints, the Super Plug is your best option because there will not be a white filler ring around the plug creating an eye sore that takes away from an immaculate glass job. One easy way to identify the O'fish'l Super Plug from the others is by looking at the bar inside the plug. The Super Plug uses a brass bar which will not rust or react with plastic. Other imitations consist of a stainless steel bar which will corrode and react with the plastic causing leaks and possible weak points.

Next time you go into a shop, be one of those people who notice the little things and details. Once you start looking you will notice how clean the O'fish'l Super Plug is and how many of them there are.
